Bulletin boards are also useful additions to any classroom. Teachers can put great homework up on the bulletin board to show off their students success. Students can be motivated to work harder and try to get on “the board” to compete with their fellow students. Bulletin boards can also be used to display great pieces of art from your students. This helps avoid getting tape or tacks stuck on your wall.
In fact, you can use your bulletin boards in your home the same ways they are used in class. Put your child’s homework on the bulletin board to show off their success. Reward them each time they get a piece of homework on the board. This will encourage them to work harder. Put any pieces of art you or your child creates on the bulletin board as well.
Bulletin boards also make excellent sources of information for a corporate environment. Hang a large one in your break room and place important information on the bulletin board, such as rules, regulations, shifts, changes and other important employee updates.
Bulletin boards can also be used as a source of fun and games. How? Well, start by drawing a picture of a game board on a piece of square cardboard. Pick a game that you and your children enjoy or make one up. Make sure to include individual spaces on the board for the game to progress properly.
Tack the square piece of cardboard onto the board. Give each player a small tack to use as a game piece. Make sure to avoid giving tacks out to young kids who may poke themselves accidentally. Roll dice to find decide how far to move on the board. Move along the board how you would in any board game.
